Mysore University
Mysore University is a State University in India. It was founded during the reign of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, Maharaja of Mysore and is a basis of a report on educational progress in the U.S. and Australia by Mr.Thomas and C.R.Reddy Denham, who has visited these countries to develop or present. Engineer-statesman Dewan, M.Visvesvarayya is crediting a person is usually given that he was involved in the foundation. The university is July 27, 1916, and was the first chancellor of the Maharaja
of Mysore.
The Mysore University is the first outside the British administration in India, the sixth University in India in general and the first college in Karnataka. This is a state university for art and annexation is March 3, 1956 autonomy, as recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission).
University of Mysore consists of 122-related colleges and five constituent colleges (the sum of Fifty Three Thousand students). In addition, the mysore university has thirty seven PG departments, eight research centers and specialized training centers and two expansion, which together provide about fifty five regular academic program, over three thousand and five hundred students. It also serves a number of job-oriented programs and certificate programs.
University of Mysore Library provides a collection of more than eight lakh books, two thousand and four hundred journal titles and one lakh volumes of journals. The main campus features an auditorium, an amphitheater, a swimming pool, and hostels for men and women with modern amenities and comfort. It operates internationally in scientific, technical and cultural exchanges.
